Roads & Weather 11-16-10

Snow and high winds yesterday created miserable conditions most of the day, hard to tell how much snow we got as the wind has drifted the snow. All roads are snow packed with 4 to 6" of snow but still passable with 4 wheel drives. Clear sky's overnight allowed the temperature to drop to 10 degrees this morning.
Forecast is for upper 40s and mid 20s for the next few days, next storm this weekend.

Roads & Weather 11-16-10

Yesterday AM, we had about 4" of snow fall, all roads in Manor Lands are snow packed, Wilderness, Forest and portions of Aspen are icy. All roads are accessible with 4 wheel drives or ATVs, snowmobiles not recommended.

No new snow overnight, forecast is for 5" today, current temp 33 degrees.

Weather & Roads 11-15-10

Currently 28 degrees with winds gusting as high as 17 MPH. Light snow and freezing rain overnight are making roads very slick. There is a winter storm advisory in effect until noon today.
Forecast: 70% chance of snow with accumulations of 1 to 3" today.

Weather 11-14-10

Currently 24 degrees, no new snow.
Forecast: snow likely today and tomorrow, 50% chance today, 60% tonight and tomorrow, 3 to 5" accumulation tonight, 1 to 3" tomorrow, high today 36, low 19.

All roads are accessible with 4 wheel drive.

Currently 20 degrees, overnight low 16, no new snow.
Forecast high low 30s with light breezes, 20% to 30% chance of snow for the remainder of the weekend.

Weather 11-12-10

Currently 6 degrees, no wind and partly cloudy.
Forecast for the weekend: 30% Chance of snow tonight - Sunday night, lows 9 to 12 degrees, highs in the low 30s, winds 5 to 9 mph bringing the wind chill values as low as -4 degrees.

Roads vary from bare to having 3" to 6" of snow and ice.

Forecast is high around 30, overcast and light snow showers, little or no accumulation expected.

Overnight low of 1, forecast is 90% chance of snow, 1" to 2" of new snow, highs around 30, wind chill as low as -4.
Roads are snow packed in the upper portions with 2" to 6" of snow and ice.

Currently 20 degrees, light snow and breezy.

1-1/2" new snow overnight.

Roads have 1 to 3" of snow on them depending on elevation, all are passable.

Weather 11-8-10

No precipitation yet, forecast is 100% chance of snow today, 70% tomorrow. High temp. of 44 at 11:00 then falling to 30 for the rest of the day. Tuesday high of 28, low 4 with wind chill as low as -10 degrees.
All roads are bare.

Weather 11-6-10

The weather has been beautiful this week, highs in the mid 60s, lows in the upper 20s.
Currently 31 degrees with a forecast high about 63 degrees.
Snow is in the forecast starting Sunday -20 & 30% chance, Monday 90%chance of snow with 1 to 3" accumulation.

Winter parking lot are now open, NO LONG TERM TRAILER PARKING IN THE WILDERNESS LOT, please park in the Aspen lot, lot # required on all trailers that park for the winter! Please stop by the caretakers cabin before parking,

Winter Parking Lots

Parking is permitted from Nov. 1st Thu May 1st, long term trailer parking will be in the Aspen lot only, snow cat and full time resident parking is allowed in both lots.
The Board of Directors has asked that any trailer or snow cat parked long term display your lot number and also be registered at the caretakers cabin, please stop by the cabin so I can show you where to park, I have a different approach to the plowing of the parking areas that I think will eliminate congestion and getting blocked in by other vehicles.
I'm also asking that every vehicle that parks in either lot display your lot number on a piece of paper and placed on your dash board, I think this will be useful to all if you need to get out and you are blocked, at least we know where to start looking.

Roads & Weather 11-1-10

22 degrees for a low last night, forecast is for highs in the low to upper 50s the rest of the week, lows around 30.
Most roads are bare with the exception of Pine Ridge and Uinta, 4" snow pack remains in the shady areas, I expect all roads to be bare by the end of the week.

Weather & Road Conditions 10-29-10

Currently 38 degrees with light wind, 4 to 8" of snow remains depending on the elevation, roads vary from bare dirt to snow packed, main roads that have a lot of traffic are bare, side roads are snow packed and icy.

ROADS & WEATHER 10-26-10

Less than an 1" of new snow overnight, currently 24 degrees with light snow showers, breezy at times.
All roads are snow covered but passable with 4 wheel drive. The roads that had traffic on them melted to bare dirt yesterday.
Forecast: 1 to 3 inches of snow possible, wind chill of -3 degrees tonight.

First Snow 10-25-10

The first major winter storm has arrived, 4 inches overnight, currently snowing, 33 degrees. The forecast: 100% chance of snow today, 40% tonight, 70% Tuesday and 80% Tuesday night.
Heavy rain last night until about 3:00 am when it started snowing.

MLPOA web site

The MLPOA web site is under re construction, our web master has to re do the entire site so it might be a while, I will keep you posted.

Chipper Service

I have contacted Summit Co. and reserved Oct. 6Th, 7Th and 8Th to have the chipping crew in Manor Lands. This service is free, the details are;

Stack your slash piles within 5' of the road.

They are asking to have it laid all the same direction to speed up the process.

They will come on your property if the gate or chain is open and they can get their truck and chipper near the slash pile and be able to easily turn around.

I will be furnishing the crew a list of lots that want this service.

9-20-10 Temperatures are in the mid 30s and upper 60s, very dry with no major storms in the forecast for the next week.

Due to the dry, warm and windy conditions, the National Weather Service is issuing Red Flag Warnings daily. Signs have been posted on all the gates, ABSOLUTELY NO FIRES, THIS INCLUDES FIRE PITS AND COOKING WITH CHARCOAL OUTSIDE, please help keep Manor Lands safe.

First Snow 9-10-10

We got the first snow of the season last night, the night time temps. are dipping below freezing and the leaves are starting to turn. I believe Autumn is here.

Labor Day Weekend

I would like to remind everyone who is coming up this weekend to be very careful of your camp fires, please keep them small and have buckes of water by your fire pit.

Wilderness and Aspen have had the rocks removed from them making the road a lot smoother, however, the speed limit is still 15 MPH. Please drive slow and safe.

Road Work 7-30-10

Road improvements are in progress, they are currently working on Wilderness Rd.
Heavy equipment is on the road. Please use caution!!!
Road work will continue for several weeks, remember the speed limit is 15 MPH.

The state is planning to have a crew at Manor Lands to cut down dead trees sometime this summer.

4th of July weekend

This weekend is always very busy, PLEASE, drive your vehicles and ATVs 15 MPH, no open fires use an approved fire pit only! approved fire pit info is posted on the bullitin board at the caretakers cabin, it can also be found on our web page under FIRE PITS.
NO FIRE WORKS!
Display your lot # on all ATVs, green numbers for owners and red numbers for your guests.
We have an additional Brush Truck to add to our fire fighting equipment, all the fire trucks have been filled, serviced and ready to go.

The temperature is 38 degrees, snowing, light winds, wet, muddy and cold.
The forecast is for 80% Chance of rain/snow today, 70% tonight.
The tree spraying crew is here, if the weather would cooperate they could get to work.

Logging Trucks on Manor Lands Roads 6-3-10

Starting 6-4-10 and continuing for the next 2 to3 weeks there will be logging trucks on the roads from HWY 150 to the Blue Gate and continuing along Aspen to E. Hill Top.
Please use caution as the trucks are very big & take most of the road. 15 MPH will be sticktly enforced.
Please inform your friends, children and guests. SAFETY ALWAYS!!!!!

Lost Dog In Manor Lands Area

Some folks in Pine Plateau have lost their dog and are asking for our help in finding her.

Her name is “Daisy” and she was lost in the Bear River Lodge Area over Memorial Day Week End.

The owners live in the area full time and are offering a cash reward. They heard that someone in Manor Lands had found her and they're hoping to get this information out so she can be returned.

The Gate on Aspen (Blue Gate is closed), They are repairing the water line, please use the Green Gate, you can also use the Gray Gate. Bring a Chain Saw, the wind blew hard today knocking down many more trees.
Todays high 62 degrees, Gusty wind, looks like its going to rain tonight.

Its time to close the parking areas, please move your trailers & ATVs, ASAP

9:00 AM, partly cloudy, 45 degrees and breezy.

The only roads I was unable to drive this morning are; Deer Lane & Uinta in the Beaver Knol area. The drift on Pine Ridge by lot 1600 is drivable, a few more days before I would try to get a trailer past this area.
